Watercouleur Park

Qubo Gas is a collective of French artists challenging and reconsidering what we know as drawing and collage. Watercouleur Park is one such project where it's merged into a multimedia landscape. This is a beautiful and arresting piece of digital art.......

The Pop-In Lion Person

I've been hanging with this lion person recently. I think bear people are a bit more exciting though. I think I will join up beardate.com or something to meet some nice elligible bear people.(Lion people just seem to drink too much... and have bad tempers).

Spring Fever

I have been out of sorts lately. Feeling tired, lethargic, almost sick but with nothing particularily wrong with me. Turns out I have some American disease called "Spring Fever" - apparently defined as a feeling of restlessness, excitement, or laziness brought on by the coming of spring.
It also has something to do with Jeter & A-Rod (that's what google says anyway..) - not sure if that's about the start of the baseball season or the sleep overs they have been having.

Bear People

Last year a lot of lion people migrated to the tri-state area. Seems all the lion people have told all the bear people how great life is here... I've been seeing quite a few bear people around....I'm all for diversity, so this is great for the ever growning multicultural dynamic of the city.

Thinking of doing this to my walls...

Editor of Fukt Drawing Magazine, Bjorn Hegardt, has his own impressive body of installation work in collaboration with Theo Agren. I think this would look great in my apartment.

USA Army Invasion

Feeling a little post-art fair nostalgia this week. Even though Pulse was crap this year, I still have good memories of Pulse 2006 and one particular work on paper by Michael Scoggins. I'm not sure what went wrong with Pulse this year...
Last year I remember seeing lots of Walter Martin and Paloma Muñoz works at all the fairs. That seemed to be covertable über-low priced art of all the fairs. The compelling photographs of Aneta Grzeszykowska and Jan Smaga(aerial views of apartments as if the ceilings were taken off)appeared again this year at Pulse. I really like these as they have an Eames 'Power of Ten' feel about them. It was poor however that the Robert Mann Gallery couldn't find anything new to show this year.

No More Pirates

After Pirate Charlie Boy was found dead under suspicious circumstances, all other pirates seem to have left the tri-state area. Only fake, wannabee pirates are still lurking around. You must stay away from these impostors... they purchase their skulls from SAKS (embossed on Juicy Couture handbags and Alexander McQueen scarfs) rather than hunt the natural way for such tokens. There are also the yuppie impostor wannabee Wall St type fake-pirates who think buying bad ironic pirate art at SCOPE will get them excepted into the pirate world. Dissociate yourself from such phoneys before they attempt to take you to a misShapes show at Don Hills under the pretence of $3 beers and mixed drinks…

Mr Chocolate

I believe that Jacques Torres hot chocolate is the yummiest in the world. It's made with dark chocolate, not drinking chocolate. His store sells the mixture so you can make it at home. So nice to enjoy on a cold winter's night when it's snowing outside...
